Hi, I’m Laura – I love coffee, my cat, and traveling to new places!
When I was 15, I started a garden in my parents’ backyard and grew flowers, peas, and tomatoes.
I enjoyed cutting the flowers, arranging the colorful blooms in mason jars and bringing them inside to enjoy. Over ten years later, I still enjoy cutting flowers from my own garden and incorporating locally-grown blooms in my designs.
The name Meadowbrook Floral Design comes from my childhood home on Meadowbrook Lane. My next-door neighbor was a wedding florist and she designed the flowers for my own wedding in July 2016, sourcing almost all the blooms and greenery from our neighborhood!
Let’s chat about how I can make your flower vision come to life!
Each wedding and event is unique, and your price is unique as well. No matter the size of your event or budget, I work with you to create a personalized quote that embraces your floral vision. There are a variety of factors that affect price, including number and size of arrangements, type of flowers, and seasonal availability.
Did you know that almost 80% of fresh flowers sold in the U.S. are not grown here? They are grown in Columbia, Ecuador, Mexico and the Netherlands. Importing flowers from these countries involves transportation, refrigeration, and storage logistics – leaving an enormous carbon footprint. During this transportation time, quality and vase life decline.
Thankfully, there are many great local flower growers here in Central PA, and we partner with them to bring you fresh, beautiful blooms (as available) with a much smaller impact on the environment!
